Cat Needs Glucose Drip After Getting Frisky With 5 Females In One Night At Pet Hotel
The hospitalization of a male cat in China has raised a number of eyebrows. The feline got frisky with five female cats in one night at a cat hotel and ended up on a glucose drip.
A Russian Blue cat from China, Xiaopi, was dropped off on October 1 at the pet hotel and left for one night while his owners were on vacation according to the New Zealand Herald. It seems as if Russian Blue cats are the type that are left at hotels while the humans go on holidays. It’s typically just okay to ask somebody to babysit your cat while you’re gone.
As you can imagine, Xiaopi was happy to get out of the house and into a hotel. He also seemed to be ready for action, according to Mr. Zhao, the cat’s older. He had warned the staff at the pet hotel that the feline had not been desexed but the staff seemed to ignore his warning. The cat was set free to interact with all of the other felines.
“I thought they’d be professional, but the staff member didn’t feed Xiaopi during the day and let him out to roam freely at night,” Mr Zhao said in a statement on social media. “That’s right, all the cats were free to walk around the shop and then the employee went home.”
It wasn’t long before the natural inclinations of Xiaopi took over and he got frisky. More specifically, he got frisky with at least five cats.
“Between around 10.40pm and 5am, my cat mated with five female cats. And those are only the ones I could see in the CCTV footage.”
It got even worse for Mr. Zhao because the staff at the hotel wanted him to explain to the other owners what happened, even though they were the ones that let his cat out to roam freely.
“They had the nerve to be upset with me. They wanted me to explain the situation to all the other owners,” he said. “My f***ing cat is exhausted and on a glucose drip, and this is my fault?”
The hotel eventually called Mr. Zhao to offer an apology and to pay for the hospital stay for the feline, which did include fluid therapy. Financial compensation was also offered by the hotel to the owners of the other felines that were impregnated that night.
Considering the fact that in Australia, Russian Blue kittens may sell for up to $1200, the offspring from that night could be quite nice.
You will also be happy to know that Xiaopi has fully recovered and is resting at home, where he is likely to stay for quite some time.
