Doctor Used CPR To Save A Stray Cat’s Life, But Then Wound Up Rescuing Him In An Even Bigger Way
A stray white cat almost saw the end of his days outside the Ozel Akgun Tem Hospital in Instanbul, Turkey, last week.
He tried walking into the hospital through a revolving door at the front entrance when a man was walking out at the same time. Not noticing the cat, he spun the revolving door, pinching the cat between a glass panel and the door jamb.
The man realized once it was too late; the cat was already badly injured, writhing in pain. An emergency room doctor, Halil Akyurek, saw the cat and rushed to help. The cat was stuck and having trouble breathing, so Akyurek put his hand on the back of his head and properly removed him from the door before giving him CPR.
The dramatic rescue was caught on tape where you can see Akyurek massaging the cat’s heart to coax him back to life. Then the cat was rushed inside the hospital where he was given oxygen. Akyurek got in contact with a veterinarian to find out the best medicines to give the cat.
Miraculously, the cat had a quick recovery and was doing well. Akyurek decided to name him Miracle. Not only did the doctor rescue Miracle and name him, but he also gave him a home! Akyurek knew he had to adopt the sweet cat, and now the two are inseparable!
