This bull, named Bandit, is just one of millions that live worldwide in narrow stables in tethered housing. They are kept tied up, and their small stalls restrict voluntary movement and limit the expression of their natural behavior.

Volunteers from Gut Aiderbichl Farm Animal Sanctuary, in Austria, came to rescue Bandit, along with the other bulls and cows there. When they untied Bandit and let him out of the stall, he couldn’t even contain his excitement. He is own little happy dance and looked like a puppy! He even rubbed his head against Christian, one of the sanctuary’s volunteers, as if he were saying “thank you” to them. Bandit and the rest of those cows will now get to live out their lives at Gut AIderbichl sanctuary with more than 500 other rescued cows, bulls and calves who live there.
