He Was Found Crying, All Alone. Now Watch Him Climb A Tree For The First Time!

Asoka, a baby orphan orangutan was rescued from the forest after a man heard him crying all alone. His rescuer kept him for a month and then brought him to the International Animal Rescue’s sanctuary and rehabilitation center in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The orangutan was only four months old and weighed just four-and-a-half pounds.

Asoka is healthy and growing daily, now that he is getting the love and care that he needs. He’s learning how to do things on his own, and has just mastered his tree-climbing skills for the first time! The woman put him on a rope and eventually he found his balance and started to climb his way up. He has the most innocent look on his face and he’s so stinkin’ adorable! After living at IAR for a while, he will learn how to live in the wild where he belongs.
