She Pours Beets Into The Batter For Red Coloring. The End Result? Valentine’s Day Pawfection!

Gone To The Snow Dogs is a YouTube channel all about three Siberian Huskies named Shelby, Memphis and Oakley. They are all beautiful pups starring in videos about dog sledding, playing around, and also showing us many do-it-yourself recipes. In this video, with the help of their human, they show us how to make delicious DIY Valentine’s Day dog treats! And what better way to show your pups your unconditional love for them than by making them these yummy cookies?! They are also gluten-free.

Gone To The Snow Dogs

2 1/2 cups of rice flour

1 egg

1 cup of cooked beets (or canned beets) pureed

1/2 cup sweet potato (or canned) pureed

1/2 cup of water

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix all of the ingredients together to form a dough. If the dough is sticky, add more flour; if it’s wet, add more water. The dough is good once it no longer sticks to your hands. Lightly flour your surface and roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut the dough into whatever shapes you like. They used heart shapes for Valentine’s Day. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 40 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack. Cookies should have a bit of a crunch to them when they are cooled. You can use them as is, or decorate with white candy melts or yogurt frosting. Enjoy! These adorable Huskies sure did! Watch the video of the cookies being made below:
