A UPS driver named Katie Newhouser, from Rancho Cucamonga, California, befriended a pit bull named Leo on her truck route.

Every time Newhouser pulled into the condo complex, Leo would start barking and scratching at his front door to go outside. Then when she stopped her truck near his house, Leo would jump into her truck.

Leo’s owner, Tina, adopted him when he was just a tiny puppy. He was too small to be without a mother, so Tina had to bottle-feed him. She took such great care of him and the two of them developed a special bond.

Sadly, Tina wound up passing away and Leo was left without a mom. When Newhouser heard about Tina’s passing, she offered to foster Leo. But it wound up being a foster failure, and Newhouser adopted Leo permanently!

Leo is a very friendly and active dog. He loves going for car rides, playing with his toys, and being in the water. He is very happy but he still mourns the loss of his mom Tina. He misses her and would sometimes whine at night before he fell asleep.

But despite what he’s been through, Leo is loving every second in his new home and will be showered with unconditional love.
