He Wanted To Do Something Special For His Wife On Their Big Day. What He Surprised Her With? AMAZINGAshley Maisano
Peter Rushton and his bride Shahr Nouraini had a destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and Rushton wanted to do something special for her. Since she loves dogs so much, he decided to team up with photographer Sol Tamargo of Del Sol Photography and have rescue dogs wear GoPros and act as “video-dog-ruffers” on their big day.
In lieu of a typical wedding registry, Nouraini had asked guests to donate to local shelter Playa Animal Rescue or to bring treats and toys. The photographer worked with the shelter to find three rescue pups who could film the wedding.
Enter Daphne, Daisy and Zac. The three adorable pups and their handler snuck into Nouraini’s hotel room and surprised her; her eyes quickly filled with tears. The dogs were a hit, not only with the bride, but with the guests too. The pups behaved extremely well and everyone was petting them and giving them lots of attention and love.
And something amazing came from it all! Both Daisy and Daphne have been adopted by wedding guests! The third dog, Zac, is already owned by one of the staff members. Two months later, and guests are still talking about the dogs; they were the one of the primary memories from the big day.
The Del Sol photographers are encouraging people to adopt and not shop, by offering a rescue dog videographer package to couples. They’ll charge a fee to cover their costs and the profits will go straight to local shelters like Playa Animal Rescue.
