Being an only child can get lonely sometimes, but it can also be great because you get all the attention. But then a younger sibling comes along and the attention turns to them.

Many parents don’t know how their child will take it when their sibling is born. Some are happy to have a new sibling, while others might take some time to adjust. The same goes for animals.

This pug, named Alfie, was the only pet. That is, until this adorable little kitten came along. The family added a new kitten to their house, and they were unsure of how Alfie would handle it. But he’s been the best big brother so far and is showing his new kitty sister, named Cheese, the ropes!

As the Cheese grows up, her and Alfie are becoming the best of friends. Just like human siblings, they can really get on each other’s nerves sometimes, but they are still inseparable. They love playing together, running around, and even cuddling and taking naps together.

Alfie works as a therapy dog, so he already has many great qualities that help him be such a wonderful big brother. He’s caring, sweet and extremely patient with Cheese. Alfie was once an only dog, but now he can’t even imagine his life without his little sister Cheese in it! He may not get all the attention anymore, but he doesn’t mind. He enjoys Cheese’s company and the two of them are an absolutely adorable duo!
