While Army Veteran Adam was in Korea, his family was unable to take care of his furry best friend, a Great Dane named Ares. Adam would be gone for an entire year, and was heartbroken at the thought of having to give up Ares.
Thankfully, his parents found PACT for Animals, an organization that cares for pets while their humans are on military deployment or going through a medical crisis. PACT then screened foster homes who were in the running to take care of Ares until Adam returned. The service is free, and the only thing the owner has to pay for is the expense of the dog’s food and transport.
Ares was driven from Illinois to his temporary foster in Pennsylvania. They took great care of Ares and sent Adam daily updates and pictures. When Adam finally returned home, he had a heartwarming reunion with Ares. Learn more about PACT for Animals, and watch their sweet reunion in the video below:
