The baby deer was born on Departure Bay Beach in British Columbia, Canada. She laid on the rocks and sand with her eyes closed for a bit before she finally attempted to stand up for the first time.

She then stands up on shaky legs and explores her surroundings and the world around her. She manages to walk around on her skinny legs, but looks like she’s going to collapse any second. She is still extremely weak since she is so young, and needs a lot more practice!

Of course mama deer is keeping an eye on her baby nearby! The baby already loves her mom so much and tries to get as close as possible to her. She then starts following behind the mom, trying her best to walk on her wobbly legs. Mama deer then stops, turns around, and bends down to groom her baby. The fawn is so tiny compared to her mom. It’s amazing to think that one day she’ll grow up and be as big as her mom.
