His Former Owner Abandoned Him At A Gas Station, But Now He’s Their Newest Employee!

Two years ago, a dog named Negao was abandoned at a Shell gas station in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, by his former owner. The dog was very scared so he sat there and refused to leave.

The gas station was purchased a few months earlier by Sabrina Plannerer. She noticed the lonely dog roaming around her gas station and knew she had to help.

Instead of bringing Negao to a shelter, not knowing where he’d end up, Plannerer decided to give Negao a forever home. She brought him to the vet to get him vaccinated and de-wormed. Then she bought him a dog house, food and a leash.

Negao went from a home where he wasn’t loved, to a stray dog, and now to a dog who is cared for and loved unconditionally.

But not only did Plannerer give Negao a home, she gave him a job. He is now the cutest customer service rep you’ll ever see!

Given a badge and all, Negao works alongside Plannerer at the shell gas station, greeting customers with his big welcoming smile.

The customers absolutely adore Negao and sometimes even bring him toys. Aside from greeting customers, he also gets taken on long walks through the town.

And if being the cutest employee at Shell isn’t enough, Negao also works with a local initiative with the charity Grupo FERA, which helps pair stray dogs with businesses if they cannot find a home.

Plannerer hopes her and Negao’s story will encourage others to “hire” pups in need as well!
