‘Miracle’ Was Rescued From A Disastrous Situation. Now, He Helps Influence A Little Boy’s LifeCorey Cross-Hansen
Amanda Leask has her hands full with her eight-year-old son Kyle, who has cerebral palsy and autism. But she gets by with help from her dog, Miracle. Two years ago, Miracle was rescued from an illegal dog meat trade in Thailand. Leask saw a picture on social media of tons of dogs being carried on a truck, headed for the illegal dog trade. “Miracle was on board with over a thousand dogs, they were heading for dinner plates. Miracle now lives with Leask and her family, including nine other rescue dogs.

Miracle wasn’t like that. He was instinctively gentle around him.” Kyle can’t speak, and Amanda is unsure of whether he ever will, but she says having Miracle around has helped immensely. One of Kyle’s favorite things to do is to watch Miracle go dog-sledding with the family’s other rescue dogs….
