These Beagles Were Rescued From Life In A Lab. Watch Them Feel Grass And Sun For The First TimeAshley Maisano
According to the Beagle Freedom Project, there are 383 labs in the U.S. that use nearly 70,000 dogs every year. And sadly on top of that, many of the labs kill the dogs instead of retiring them.
Beagle Freedom Project, a program run by the Los Angeles-based non-profit Animal Rescue, Media, and Education (ARME), negotiates with labs across the world to secure the release of dogs and other animals and give them a chance at a normal home life after the horrible things they’ve had to endure.
Since being founded in 2010, BFP has rescued over 500 beagles, mixed-breed hounds, cats, rabbits, ponies, pigs, goats, guinea pigs, rats, and goldfish from laboratories. Of those 500 animals, are the former lab Beagles in the video below.
They are now feeling what it’s like to be pet for the first time, to feel love for the first time, and to even feel grass beneath their feet for the first time. They’ve spent their lives in cages, but now they don’t have to worry about that anymore. Watch them be free for the first time in their lives in the video below:
