Rescued From a High-Kill Shelter, This Golden FINALLY Gets To Pick Out Her Very First Toy

This Golden Retriever is finally getting treated the way she deserves: with love.

A few years ago, this dog named Roo was dropped off at a high-kill shelter, left to die when she was just a puppy. Spending her entire life here, she never got to feel anything but neglect and abuse. That is, until her new dad Brian Beker rescued her.

“Roo the one-year-old rescued Golden Retriever who never had any toys, or so much as anything to chew, grew up imprisoned, starved and neglected,” Becker wrote while sharing this video. “This is the first time she gets to choose her own toy at a pet shop.”

It’s been three years since Roo started her new life and she’s happier than ever! Follow her adventures on a page her owner started for her: thedogintheclouds
