We forget, sometimes, about our closest companions, probably to the point where we take them for granted.  They are always there for us.  It doesn’t matter what is happening in our lives, good, bad, or indifferent, they don’t really care about the circumstances.  What they care about is us.

We give them somewhere to live.  We feed them.  We play and pet and cuddle with them, but isn’t the truth that they sometimes give us more in return than we ever give?  Our dogs are our family and their non-verbal attachment and belief in us with no judgment shouldn’t go overlooked.  Maybe it is time for some unexpected dog time.  Everyone needs to know they are appreciated for all they do.
