The men and women of the Petal Police Department in Petal, Mississippi, found a puppy wandering the streets all alone. They brought her back to the department and fittingly named her Felony.

Felony is a black lab and pit bull mix, probably between two and four months old, and was thought to be abandoned. When stray dogs are found, they’re usually taken to the shelter, but their local shelter was full. Because of this, the department decided to make Felony their mascot for the day!

She spent the day keeping the officers company and even helping dispatch take calls. She also enjoyed lots of affection, petting and cuddles from everyone. Imgur user FreckledFaceGinger, who posted the pics, said the officers “enjoyed having some dog therapy.”

Police officers are always so busy helping others, that sometimes they need some down time too! And what better way than to spend it with this adorable little pup?!

Felony followed the assistant police chief down the hall and really took a liking to him. She even wound up taking a nap in his desk chair.

This isn’t the first time the Petal Police Department has worked with dogs. They currently have two police K-9s on the force.
