Dogs Can Now Drink Beer In Indy… Wait, What?!

Kick back, relax, and share a nice cold beer with your dog. Wait, what?!

You heard that right. Flat12, a brewery on the near-east side of Indianapolis, has made this crazy idea possible.

Earlier this month, the brewery announced their new non-alcoholic dog beer.

Flat12 teamed up with Smoking Goose, a local artisan meatery and smokehouse that donated their high-quality bones and trimmings to make this insane thought come to life.

Flat12 explains how they made the beer:

“Flat12 brewers experimented with the recipe, coming up with a Smoking Goose stock blended with wort, the liquid extracted from the mashing process. The wort, containing simple sugars and trace amounts of protein, is then blended in a keg with the Smoking Goose broth containing calcium, magnesium, and other vitamins and minerals. Brewer’s yeast is also added, a great source of vitamin B complex, making a brew chock full of healthy vitamins and minerals, and a tasty treat for your furry friend.”

So if you’re in the Indy area, stop by and grab a pint for your furry four-legged friend! Proceeds go back to local pet adoption and rescue shelters.
