Breeder Was Trying To Make A Dog With ‘Rare Colors,’ But Caused Him To Be Born Paralyzed Instead

Welly the Bulldog, whose full name is Wellington Beasley, was surrendered by a breeder when he was just a few weeks old because his back legs didn’t work due to spina bifida. Spina Bifida is a birth defect, where there is incomplete closing of the backbone and membranes around the spinal cord.

Thankfully, Road Dogs & Rescue took him in and saved his life. Not only did they give him lots of love, but they also fitted him with a custom-made wheelchair to help him get around. Welly is growing and getting stronger every day.

Welly may be different than other dogs, but he has no idea! He runs around with his new wheels, and doesn’t let anything get in his way. Despite his disability, he’s a very happy pup. His love of life knows no bounds. All he needed was a chance! Watch him go in the video below:
